Pet Adoption: You can find all the details of our no-contact, appointment-based pet adoption process here.

Foster: Please email foster@pasadenahumane.org to schedule a time to pick up your foster pet or additional supplies. If you’re interested in fostering a pet, please email foster@pasadenahumane.org to find out more information about being added to our foster database.

Owner Surrender: If you’re within one of our 11 service cities, we are accepting owner surrenders by appointment in emergency situations only. Please call us at 626-792-7151 to schedule an appointment.

Stray Drop-Off: If you’re within one of our 11 service cities and have found a stray animal, please see our tips to help locate the animal’s owner. If you are unable to locate the owner, please call us at 626-792-7151 to schedule an appointment for drop-off. If you find kittens, please see our kitten flowchart.

Shelter Shop: The Shelter Shop is temporarily closed for repairs. We will reopen on Saturday, June 6 at 9am.

Helping Paws Food Bank: To be eligible for our food bank, you must reside in one of our 11 service cities: Altadena, Arcadia, Bradbury, Glendale, La Canada, La Crescenta-Montrose, Monrovia, Pasadena, San Marino, Sierra Madre, or South Pasadena. Please complete our online application and you will be contacted by a staff member within 72 hours for the next steps.

If you are not a resident of one of our 11 service cities, you may be able to receive assistance from ASPCA LA Food Bank, Home Dog LA, or Rocky Kanaka. Please note, the Pasadena Humane Society is not associated with any of these organizations, and you must contact them directly for eligibility and requirements.

If you are a current Food Bank member, please contact Helping Paws directly at 626-792-7151 ext. 281 or helpingpaws@pasadenahumane.org to schedule a pick-up appointment for our next Food Bank distribution event.

At this time, we are unable to accept drop-off item donations. If you’d like to donate items to our animals, please purchase them from our Amazon wish list.

If you are on the premises for any of the aforementioned available services, in compliance with Pasadena Health Orders, please:

  • Do not enter the premises if you are experiencing symptoms of a respiratory illness, including cough or fever.
  • Wear a face covering at all times while in line to enter the facility and during your time inside the facility.
