Appointment-Based Services
As a safety precaution to prevent the spread of COVID-19, the majority of our services are available by appointment only.
Pet Adoption: You can find all the details of our no-contact, appointment-based pet adoption process here.
Foster: Please email foster@pasadenahumane.org to schedule a time to pick up your foster pet or additional supplies. If you’re interested in fostering a pet, please email foster@pasadenahumane.org to find out more information about being added to our foster database.
Owner Surrender: If you’re within one of our 11 service cities, we are accepting owner surrenders by appointment in emergency situations only. Please call us at 626-792-7151 to schedule an appointment.
Stray Drop-Off: If you’re within one of our 11 service cities and have found a stray animal, please see our tips to help locate the animal’s owner. If you are unable to locate the owner, please call us at 626-792-7151 to schedule an appointment for drop-off. If you find kittens, please see our kitten flowchart.
Spay/Neuter and Vaccine Clinics: Temporarily unavailable. Please check our veterinary resources for other clinics who may offer the services you need.
Shelter Shop: The Shelter Shop is open Mon-Fri 9-6, Sat 9-5, Sun 11-5 (walk-ins welcome).
Helping Paws Food Bank: The Helping Paws Pet Food Bank offers free food and supplies to dog and cat owners in need. Food Bank services are by appointment only. Please complete our online application and you will be contacted by a staff member within 72 hours for the next steps. If you are a current Food Bank member, please contact Helping Paws directly at 626-792-7151 ext. 281 or helpingpaws@pasadenahumane.org to schedule a pick-up appointment for our next Food Bank distribution event.
Donations: At this time, we are able to accept donations of new or unopened items only. Donations may be dropped off in the breezeway on the first floor of the Animal Care Center, outside of the Shelter Shop. Unfortunately, we cannot accept in-kind donations at our other points of entry at this time. If you are a company with a large donation to make and need to arrange drop off details, please email development@pasadenahumane.org. Items can also be donated through our Amazon wish list.
In-Person Events: Temporarily postponed. Please join us for our upcoming webinars.
If you are on the premises for any of the aforementioned available services, in compliance with Pasadena Health Orders, please:
- Do not enter the premises if you are experiencing symptoms of a respiratory illness, including cough or fever.
- Wear a face covering at all times while in line to enter the facility and during your time inside the facility.
- Maintain a six foot minimum distance from others.
- Sneeze or cough into a cloth, tissue, or your elbow.
- Refrain from shaking hands or engaging in any unnecessary physical contact.
