Mobile Vaccine Clinic Success

Mobile Vaccine Clinic Success

Pasadena Humane took their pet care services on the road last month for a vaccine clinic hosted by the Pasadena Buddhist Temple. This was the first public mobile clinic offered since before the pandemic.

The mobile clinic provided vaccines for 75 pets, helping dozens of pet owners have access to needed medical services for their beloved pets. Many of the pet owners also received pet food, supplies, microchips and dog licenses.

Pasadena Humane offers low-cost vaccine and microchipping services to residents of our service area. Appointments at the weekly clinics at the shelter can be booked online.

Shelter officials acknowledge that there are pet parents in the community who do not have the means to get their pets to the shelter to take advantage of these services. Mobile clinics are advantageous in helping to bridge this gap.

Senior Director of Animal Resources Laura Lampley thinks this clinic is just the beginning. “Our goal is to hold a vaccine/microchip clinic once a quarter next year,” says Laura. “We want to bring these services to the members of the community who cannot always get to our shelter to receive them. It keeps all the pets in our community healthy.”

As well as vaccines, Pasadena Humane offers spay/neuter, behavioral support and other services for residents of our service cities. For other support programs, please visit pasadenahumane.org/owner-assistance.
