Pasadena Humane To Host Free Adoption Day On October 18

Pasadena Humane is thrilled to announce a special Free Adoption Day on Saturday, October 18, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. For this one-day-only event, adoption fees will be waived thanks to a generous donor for all available dogs, cats and critters.

Visitors will have the opportunity to see a wide variety of adoptable animals and speak with knowledgeable staff and volunteers regarding the perfect placement for their family. Whether potential adopters are a first-time pet parent or looking to adopt again, Pasadena Humane will be ready to help make the right match for each household.

“There’s nothing quite like the joy of seeing a shelter pet go home with a new family,” says Chris Ramon, CEO & President of Pasadena Humane. “We hope to see many more of our animals find the loving homes they’ve been waiting for, and Free Adoption Day is a wonderful opportunity to give them a fresh start.”

With several hundred animals currently in the shelter, this event comes at an opportune time. Fall is an ideal season to adopt, as families can welcome a new pet and settle into a routine before the holiday season arrives.

All adoptions include a spay or neuter surgery, age-appropriate vaccines, and a microchip. Standard adoption screening and procedures will still apply, and a pet license fee may apply, depending on location. As a reminder, please leave your personal pets at home to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for all attendees and adoptable animals. Pets are adopted on a first-come, first-served basis, and potential adopters are encouraged to view available animals in advance at pasadenahumane.org.
