Pasadena Humane Invites Adopters To “Swipe Right” On Love This Valentine’s Day

PASADENA, Calif. (February 12, 2026) — Love is in the air at Pasadena Humane this Valentine’s Day with the launch of Swipe Right, a special adoption promotion designed to help pets and adopters find their perfect match. Thanks to the generous sponsorship of MetLife, all shelter animals will be available for adoption for just $14 from February 13-15. 

Valentine’s Day is a celebration of connection, and few bonds are as meaningful as the one formed with a shelter pet. Animals in shelters have an incredible capacity for unconditional love, offering companionship, loyalty, and comfort without expectations. During Swipe Right, adopters are invited to discover the joy of forming a genuine connection with a pet who’s ready to give their whole heart. Pasadena Humane’s knowledgeable adoptions team will be on hand to play “matchmaker,” helping each potential adopter find an animal that truly fits their lifestyle and personality, whether that is a devoted dog, affectionate cat, or a charming critter. 

To give some of the shelter’s longer-stay animals a little extra spotlight, brief “dating profiles” will be displayed for potential adopters to see. These sweet descriptions aim to highlight the pet’s personality, interests, and ideal match—making it even easier to spark a connection. 

All adoptions from Pasadena Humane include a spay or neuter, a microchip, and any age-appropriate vaccinations. New adopters will also receive a complimentary wellness exam with a partner veterinarian, along with a packet of helpful information on pet care. During this promotion, the standard adoption process applies, and a licensing fee may be required based on the adopter’s location.
