Our family had consisted of Mom, Dad, 4 year old boy, and 6 year old girl. After our beloved Daisy was taken from us too soon we (the adults) were not especially motivated to bring another pet into our home. Losing our dog had a large impact on our lives and we just did not want to go through that again. Our children had different ideas and we attempted to stave their insistence by browsing while never planning on actually committing. That changed abruptly when we fostered a beautiful, playful, smart, and inquisitive Shepard mix named Molly. We knew from day one that we were done. We had been looking at losing a dog as a negative event to the extent that it overshadowed the absolute joy a pet can bring. Molly, being a rescue, surprises us everyday and has bonded in ways to our kids that often leave us scratching our heads in absolute astonishment. We are so lucky to have found Molly and I believe that she feels lucky to have been found. She’s a fantastic dog and an invaluable part of our family. We are so thankful that the Pasadena Humane Society teamed up with our rascals to break through our trepidation.
