Meet Ernie

We adopted Ernie in November after our beloved 19.5-year-old cat, Elliott, passed away. We initially made our appointment to meet another kitten, whom we later learned had been adopted the day before. Luckily, we kept our appointment and met this sweet little guy. He was found walking alone on the 110 freeway earlier that week!

He wasn’t particularly affectionate at the shelter, but our adoption guide assured us he was a good match. She was right! He turned into a playful purr machine as soon as we got home. He is such a good little cat. Within his first few weeks with us, he calmly accepted a flea bath and even enjoyed multiple 7 hour drives for the holidays. Thank you to whoever rescued him and the wonderful staff at Pasadena Humane. Both of our adoption appointments were welcoming and informative. Everyone was so patient and kind and obviously cared for each of the resident kitties. We’re so happy to have Ernie. ❤️

p.s. He is much tidier in our home than he was in his kennel! 😹
