9/13:Bobcat Fire Pet Evacuation Sites

**Update, 9/13 at 11am: Staff is onsite at the shelter to assist with the intake of animals in need of temporary emergency boarding due to mandatory evacuation orders now issued for part of Arcadia. Pasadena Humane Animal Control will be stationed at the Red Cross evacuation zone at Santa Anita Park (Gate 5) to assist with the transport of displaced pets back to the Pasadena Humane shelter. If you must evacuate, it’s always best to take your pets with you. We recommend you keep your pets with you, but there is emergency boarding available if this is not possible.

As the Bobcat Fire continues to burn, many of our foothill communities are under voluntary evacuation orders. Have a plan in place and if you must evacuate, it’s always best to take your pets with you. We recommend you keep your pets with you, but understand this may not always be possible. 

Here is a list of local resources offering emergency boarding for pets. We will do our best to keep this list up to date, but we recommend you verify that the location is still accepting pets before arrival. 

Please check your local city or county website and social media for updates in your area. 

 

EMERGENCY BOARDING FOR PETS

Pasadena Humane
If you are under mandatory evacuation orders, we are able to temporarily board dogs and cats from our 11 animal control service areas at no cost. Please fill out an application and boarding waiver and call us in advance of your arrival, if possible. During normal business hours, please call 626.792.7151 ext. 100, after hours ext. 102.

My Pet Garden (Pasadena)

Wonder Dog Ranch (Monrovia)
