A Friend for Mini

About 3 months ago my husband and I came and adopted a kitten from you. Her name in the shelter was Sol, but we changed it to Daisy (though we sometimes call her Gremlin, as well). She was about 4 months old when we got her, to keep our 5 year old cat, Mini, company. Your staff was very helpful in guiding us to the best choice to get along with our older cat and make the transition as smooth as possible. Daisy was a tiny thing when we got her, and did require a bit of quarantine and some antibiotics after her first vet visit (mild case of coccidia) but after that, and copious scent swapping, we had a successful introduction! They may not be snuggle buddies yet, but they play chase with each other, share their cat tree, try to eat each others food (even though it’s the same food) and just generally hang out. Daisy has gotten SO BIG. She’s only 7 months now but she’s as big as Mini, (who was, to be fair, the runt of her litter and always runs on the small end of the scale of adult cats), and actually outweighs her a bit! Mini is about 8.5 pounds and Daisy is a little over 9! Daisy is the snuggliest cat I’ve ever had. She will climb onto my chest and nuzzle hard into my neck and fall asleep like that for as long as I’ll let her. I’ve included pictures of Daisy when we first got her, and how tiny she was vs her size now, as well as picture of the two of them together now.
