Visiting Hours Begin Friday, July 9

Starting this Friday, July 9, we’re opening our doors for “Visiting Hours” – every Friday and Saturday from 3:30 to 5:30pm. Come visit us and walk around the dog kennels and Neely Cat Center to see all the animals available for adoption. No appointment is necessary to browse. Please note that adoption appointments are still required to meet with a counselor if you’re interested in adopting.

Over the course of the pandemic, we learned that having fewer visitors in the kennels was a huge benefit for the animals – they got more rest, were less stressed and stayed healthier. This resulted in many pets finding their homes more quickly. Because of this, adoptions are still by appointment only, but Visiting Hours will allow us to balance the needs of the animals with the public’s interest in visiting our kennels.
