Hi, I’m Pookey!

I was found in the fire zone in Altadena a few days after the fire.
I have a medium energy level—sometimes I like to explore, sometimes I just want to rest.
I’m still learning to trust people, but I enjoy short belly rubs and attention.
I love to chew! Give me a bone, and I’ll carry it around proudly.
I have a funny habit of taking shoes and clothes to my bed (don’t worry, I don’t chew them—just borrowing!).

What I Need:

A quiet home while I continue to recover and gain confidence.
Someone patient who will help me with house training (I’m getting better!).


At first, I was too scared to leave the car and wouldn’t come inside. Now, I come and go as I please, and I’m even starting to play a little! I’m looking for a forever home where I can feel safe and loved. Could that be with you?
