Coyote? Wolf? Or just an adorable puppy? Mystery Coyote? Wolf? Or just an adorable puppy? Mystery animal 🕵️: A527474
Little four-month-old Popcorn (A527264) wasn't doi Little four-month-old Popcorn (A527264) wasn't doing great when he arrived at Pasadena Humane. The poor puppy was vomiting, lethargic, very underweight, and showed little interest in food. Fortunately, Popcorn tested negative for parvovirus, but it meant that something else had to be causing his symptoms. Our veterinary team quickly began treating Popcorn with anti-inflammatory medication, a dewormer, and fluids. Although the medication would have treated a variety of possible illnesses, Popcorn showed little improvement. His low appetite persisted, and he had a hard time keeping down what little food he was interested in eating. Our health staff performed x-rays and an ultrasound to get a better picture of what was going on inside Popcorn's tummy—and that's when they spotted a mass in his abdomen. If this was an intestinal blockage, it could be life-threatening if left untreated. Our veterinarians decided to perform a surgical abdominal exploration to determine exactly what this mass was. And there, in the puppy's intestine, was a sizeable corn cob! 🌽 Now cobless, Popcorn is doing so much better. Just a few days after his surgery, he was eating voraciously, wiggling his way up to our staff, and wanting to play. His eyes are bright, he's full of energy, and he's acting like a typical puppy. After recovering in our ICU, little Popcorn was finally made available for adoption! After everything he's been through, this pup is ready to find his perfect home with the most loving family. We just suggest that you keep him away from your corn cobs. 🍿
Do you recognize this dog? This friendly black-and Do you recognize this dog? This friendly black-and-white pittie (A527434) was running down the street near E. Green St. and Lake Ave. in Pasadena on Friday when a good Samaritan managed to catch up with her. She was wearing a black collar with no ID tags, and when we scanned her for a microchip, there was no chip to be found. We estimate she is around one year old, but with her wiggly butt and playful personality, she definitely has puppy vibes! Please spread the word so we can reunite this sweet pup with her family. #LostTailsTuesday If you believe this is your missing dog, please come to Pasadena Humane between 9:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. or give us a call at 626.792.7151 ext. 997. This dog is currently on a stray hold and is not available for adoption.
