Hurley is a 5-year-old pit bull with a big heart and an even bigger smile! This handsome boy was found on quite an adventure at the Glendale Galleria and made a pit stop at an Italian restaurant before animal control picked him up. Unfortunately, no one came forward to claim him, but we think it’s their loss—he’s ready to be someone’s new best friend!
Hurley is curious, playful, and full of energy! When he first gets outside, he can be a bit excitable and loves to explore, sniffing around with his nose held high. He’s not big on fetching balls, but he’ll happily chase after them for fun. Although Hurley can be a little distracted in new environments, he’s also a total softie; sit down on a bench, and he’ll come running over to rest his head in your lap and soak up all the pets you’re willing to give.
While Hurley doesn’t seem to have much formal leash training, he’s a quick learner! He does well with leash-walking exercises, and with a few u-turns and some patience, he settles down and walks calmly. Hurley is polite around other dogs he’s passed at the shelter and at events, though he’s often more interested in his surroundings than socializing right away.
Hurley would thrive in a home that appreciates his goofiness and active nature, and can help him continue to learn the ropes of being a well-behaved companion. If you’re looking for a loyal friend who’ll keep you on your toes and always make you smile, Hurley just might be your guy!
