Eric Heer, Senior Vice President and Private Wealth Advisor at Capital Group, is current Board Chair and a longstanding member of the Pasadena Humane Board of Directors. A La Cañada native and lifelong animal lover, Eric joined the board in 2013 to give back to the animals in his community.   

Foster families are incredibly important volunteers at Pasadena Humane, especially for kittens who are too young to be placed for adoption. Eric and his wife, Samantha, have fostered more than 120 kittens, a handful of momma cats, and nearly a dozen bunnies.  

In ten years of fostering for Pasadena Humane, Eric and Samantha have only “foster failed” once, adopting a special needs kitten with cerebellar hypoplasia, whom they named Jazzy.
