Academy at Pasadena Humane is a unique after-school experience for kids ages 12-14 to explore a variety of animal-related topics including veterinary health, animal evolution, wildlife appreciation, animal art, how to pursue a career in animal welfare and more! Students will gain a better understanding of the animals in our local community and beyond.
This class will explore past, present, and future animal stories. Each week, kids will make animal-themed art, and at the end of the session, kids’ art pieces will be displayed in our annual Pasadena Humane Art Show at the end of the session. Art pieces will be sold to benefit the shelter animals. The artist can claim any unsold pieces at the end of the show.
Academy meets every Wednesday from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. for six weeks.
*Please note that while we do our best to introduce children to safe and appropriate animals during Academy at Pasadena Humane, This does not guarantee an animal experience every session.
Scholarships are available. Please apply here.
