Pet Licensing Made Easy In Glendale As Pasadena Humane Launches Online Licensing

GLENDALE, CALIFORNIA October 5, 2022— Licensing pets in Glendale is now more accessible, modernized, and valuable for all pet owners. Pasadena Humane is delighted to announce that through their partnership with DocuPet, Glendale pet owners can now license their pets through an online licensing platform.

Pasadena Humane has provided licensing services for Glendale since July 1, 2022. The activation of the online platform will allow for efficient processing of licensing applications and renewals. Officials say that licensing canvassing will begin in mid to late October.

Pet licenses are required for all dogs four months and older in Glendale. Kennel permits are needed for keeping 3-4 dogs at a Glendale residence. Cat licenses are optional but recommended. Dog licenses must be renewed annually, but there are options for three-year licenses.

Glendale pet owners can now license their beloved canines and felines in multiple ways:

  • Online at pasadenahumane.org/licensing.
  • In-person at the Pasadena Humane Shelter Shop.
  • In-person at the City of Glendale: by taking a completed licensing application and payment in a sealed envelope to the City’s Licensing Drop Box* at 633 E. Broadway, #101. *Open Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to noon.

“A license tag dramatically improves the chance that your dog (or cat) will be returned home if they get lost,” said Dia DuVernet, President & CEO of Pasadena Humane. “When you purchase a license, your pet is assigned a unique ID number that links to you as the owner. Better yet, if one of our animal control officers picks up your licensed dog (or cat) as a stray, they may be able to return the pet directly to your door.”

Each official Pasadena Humane license tag is now equipped with DocuPet’s HomeSafe™ 24/7 lost pet service, which includes a dedicated dispatch team working around the clock to locate and reunite lost pets.

All licensing proceeds support Pasadena Humane’s lifesaving programs and services.
