Pasadena Humane Launches Fee-Waived Adult Dog Promotion

This May, dogs at Pasadena Humane have a question—and they’re not shy about asking it! The shelter is inviting the community to take part in its “May I Go Home With You?” adoption promotion, running May 15-24, to help more adult dogs find loving homes and make it easier than ever to say “yes” to adoption. 

During this limited-time event, adoption fees will be waived for all adult dogs (6 months and older) at Pasadena Humane. 

While puppies often receive the most attention, adult dogs are frequently the ones who wait the longest for a home—not because they are any less loving or adoptable, but simply because they are often overlooked. Adult dogs are an ideal choice for many families, as they are typically past the stages of early puppyhood and are ready to settle into home life, offering companionship, loyalty, and affection from day one. 

The promotion is also designed to reduce financial barriers to adoption while shining a spotlight on more than 40 adult dogs currently available at Pasadena Humane. These dogs are eager for a second chance—one filled with neighborhood walks, couch cuddles, and the chance to become someone’s loyal best friend. 

All adoptions include spay or neuter surgery, age-appropriate vaccinations, and a microchip. Standard adoption procedures still apply, and licensing fees may be required. Adoptions are available daily from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. For more information, please visit pasadenahumane.org/adopt/view-pets.
