FOR THE HOLIDAYS
Tiny Jackie was one of 38 cats rescued from the cramped trailer in the middle of summer. Many of the youngest kittens were extremely emaciated, with their ribs protruding from their small bodies. The most fragile were rushed to a foster home for round the clock care. Jackie’s foster mom shared, “She wants to be petted so badly, but you feel like you’ll break her.” Jackie and the other kittens made it to us in the nick of time. Without intervention, it is unlikely that they would have survived.
Milo was found wandering the freeway when he was found and brought to Pasadena Humane. The poor dog was covered in thick, painful mats, making it hard for him to see or move. He was extremely dirty and scared. Our team immediately gave him a much-needed grooming, shaving the mats from his body and allowing him to move freely once more. Before long, Milo found a home of his own, where he will never know such horrible neglect again.
Pasadena Humane is more than an animal shelter; we are a community-supported animal resource center providing compassion and care for all animals. Since 1903, Pasadena Humane has offered lifesaving programs and services for animals and the people who love them in the Greater Los Angeles Area. At our Pasadena campus, we provide shelter, dedicated care and new beginnings for thousands of our community’s most vulnerable animals every year. In 2022, Pasadena Humane helped nearly 40,000 animals through adoptions, wildlife rehabilitation, lost & found, veterinary services, and surrender prevention assistance.
Pasadena Humane is a 501c3 nonprofit organization. Our tax ID number is 95-1643344.
