At Pasadena Humane, we are much more than an animal shelter. We are a resource for all animals in our community. We offer innovative programs and services that help animals and support the people that love them.
Saving Homeless & At-Risk Animals
At the Pasadena Humane animal shelter, we provide lifesaving care, shelter, and new beginnings for our community’s most vulnerable animals.
Every year, thousands of homeless and abandoned pets get a second chance at life with a loving family through our adoptions program.
We provide lost, sick, and injured companion animals and wildlife in our 11 animal control service areas safe shelter, veterinary care, and so much more.
Our wildlife team rehabilitates orphaned, injured, and sick wild animals with the goal of releasing them back into the wild.
Supporting Animals in the Community
Pasadena Humane is an animal resource center. We offer a wide range of accessible programs and services for animals in the community that strengthen the human-animal bond and help keep pets out of shelters and with the people who love them.
Our safety net program helps pet owners access the resources they need–like a free pet food bank, veterinary vouchers, and emergency pet boarding– to keep their pets, whenever possible.
We offer spay/neuter, vaccine, and microchip services to all dogs and cats. Financial assistance is available to prevent pets from being turned into the shelter for health reasons.
Our animal resource specialists connect community members with the resources needed to do best by the animals through our animal support call center and wildlife helpline.
We host training classes for dogs and puppies to help strengthen the human-animal bond and keep pets in their homes.
We support pet owners who seek to rehome their pets with a pet rehoming platform so those pets never have to spend time in a kennel. These pets are listed for adoption on our website.
We care for community cats by supporting caretakers with spay/neuter, ear-tipping, vaccines, and flea prevention. Healthy, monitored community cats mean fewer orphaned kittens entering the shelter.
