Pasadena Humane’s 2025 Volunteer of the Year
We are proud to announce that Pasadena Humane’s Volunteer of the Year for 2025 is Wren Sell!
A remarkably talented photographer, Wren has made an extraordinary impact on the animals in our care by helping them be seen—often serving as the very first connection between an animal and their future adopter. Her ability to capture not just an image, but the personality and dignity of each animal, has directly contributed to countless adoptions and increased visibility for those who need it most.
During the Eaton Fire response, Wren’s contributions were especially profound. She dedicated extensive time documenting animals in critical care, the work of staff, and the broader response efforts. Her images became central to telling Pasadena Humane’s story during this time—bringing awareness, compassion, and support from the community and beyond.
Her work may often happen quietly behind the lens, but its impact is felt across the entire organization. Wren’s dedication, creativity, and compassion make her an invaluable part of Pasadena Humane—and a truly deserving Volunteer of the Year.
