You might have heard that rats are highly intellig You might have heard that rats are highly intelligent animals that can make wonderful pets. But did you know that some rats even like to cuddle? Quinoa (A527329) is a super sweet boy who just wants to be close to people. He loves snuggling and will even perch on your shoulder. He's such an affectionate little guy!
54 animals got adopted this week! 🎉🎉🎉 In 54 animals got adopted this week! 🎉🎉🎉 In wonderful news, one of these adopted animals was Phoebe, who had been with us since August—longer than almost every other dog currently in our care. For many months, Phoebe resided in a foster home with her wonderful foster caregiver, Sheila. And during that time, Sheila went above and beyond, working on Phoebe’s training, writing and rewriting bios that showcased Phoebe’s personality for her web profile, regularly bringing her to our pop-up adoption events, and of course, giving Phoebe lots and lots of love. It’s this long-term dedication that was instrumental in preparing Phoebe for her adoption day, and we know that Phoebe will carry all the love Sheila gave her into her new life. We are so appreciative of long-term foster volunteers like Sheila who take in dogs that need a little extra time to find their families. If you’re interested in fostering an animal that needs a little more TLC, let us know—we’d love to have you on board! Congratulations to all our adopters and their new family members!

What a difference a few weeks and lots of love can What a difference a few weeks and lots of love can make! Swipe to see Hazel's (A527263) journey in reverse. ✨ From being so shy she wouldn't come out of her den for her photo (featured on #LostTailsTuesday), to gradually becoming more comfortable with our staff and volunteers, to eagerly greeting new people for petting and playtime, this sweet girl has really come out of her shell over the last few weeks! The only photo we really need to complete her story is a happy adoption photo. Want to join her for it? 📸
