What a difference a few weeks and lots of love can What a difference a few weeks and lots of love can make! Swipe to see Hazel's (A527263) journey in reverse. ✨ From being so shy she wouldn't come out of her den for her photo (featured on #LostTailsTuesday), to gradually becoming more comfortable with our staff and volunteers, to eagerly greeting new people for petting and playtime, this sweet girl has really come out of her shell over the last few weeks! The only photo we really need to complete her story is a happy adoption photo. Want to join her for it? 📸
Every day, fragile animals arrive at our doors nee Every day, fragile animals arrive at our doors needing urgent, lifesaving care. Treating highly contagious illnesses like parvovirus requires specialized isolation spaces, advanced medical tools, and round-the-clock monitoring. We can only sustain these vital resources because of steady, reliable support from our community. That’s where our Constant Companions come in. Elmo, a 14-week-old poodle puppy, was found as a stray in South Pasadena. Soon after arriving, we noticed that he was vomiting and unable to lift his tiny head. Our veterinary team determined he had parvovirus and rushed him to our ICU's Parvo isolation ward. Because of supporters like you, Elmo is receiving intensive care, including a monoclonal antibody treatment, a groundbreaking therapy that has shown great promise in helping puppies recover more quickly and effectively than traditional methods alone. He’s getting stronger every day, but he’s still fighting. This kind of care isn’t possible without stability. Monthly donors provide the dependable funding that allows us to maintain our isolation ward, stock lifesaving medications, invest in innovative treatments like monoclonal antibodies, and say “yes” when the most vulnerable animals need us most.
Today, your commitment can go even further.
Right now, if we sign up 100 new Constant Companions, we will unlock a generous $15,000 gift from Beverly Marksbury to strengthen our lifesaving programs.
