Pasadena Humane Celebrates Senior Pets With Adoption Promotion

PASADENA, Calif. (November 3, 2025) — In celebration of National Adopt a Senior Pet Month this November, Pasadena Humane is excited to announce a special promotion: all adoption fees will be waived for pets aged five and older throughout the entire month, thanks to the generous sponsorship of the Mericos Foundation. This initiative aims to highlight the many benefits of adopting older pets and help find loving homes for senior animals in our community.

Senior pets often make wonderful companions, offering loyalty and affection to their new families. By waiving adoption fees, Pasadena Humane hopes to make it easier than ever for families to welcome these deserving animals into their homes.

“Senior pets tend to be calmer, often house-trained, and ready to settle in right away – but what really sets them apart is their capacity for love,” says Chris Ramon, President & CEO of Pasadena Humane. “They may be older, but they have just as much love to give. In return, you’ll gain an affectionate, devoted companion.”

All dogs and cats adopted from Pasadena Humane are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and have received age-appropriate vaccinations. New adopters will also receive a complimentary wellness exam with a partner veterinarian, along with a packet of helpful information on pet care.

Throughout November, those interested in meeting adoptable senior pets are encouraged to visit pasadenahumane.org or visit the shelter during adoptions hours daily from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
