Pasadena Humane to Participate in State-Wide Adoption Event June 7

Pasadena Humane is excited to announce its participation in California Adopt-a-Pet Day on Saturday, June 7, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., hosted by Cal Animals, SF SPCA and ASPCA. Adoption fees for all available dogs, cats and critters are waived for the event.

The state-wide Adopt-a-Pet Day effort boasts over 150 participating shelters, with an ambitious goal of finding homes for 5,000 pets. During the inaugural event in 2024, over 3,000 pets found loving homes throughout California.

“This event coincides with the onset of our busiest season,” says Pasadena Humane’s Interim President & CEO, Chris Ramon. “With so many animals in our care, there are a lot of great choices available for families looking to adopt.”

Adopting a pet from your local animal shelter has many benefits, as shelters vaccinate, spay/neuter, and microchip animals before they are adopted. As a result, adopting means families are getting a pet who has already received initial medical care that is appropriate for their species, and the staff at the shelter will also ensure you are matched with an animal who is the right fit for your lifestyle.

Adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis, and standard screening applies. Adoptions include spay or neuter, a microchip, and age-appropriate vaccines.
