Tabby cat Miss Marple is waiting to pounce underneath the armchair. Miss Marple is a special needs cat who was a resident in Pasadena Humane’s Animal ICU last year. She has a neurological condition that causes her to have an abnormal gait, compounded by a condition that affects her vision. Her medical conditions and uncertain long-term prognosis dissuaded adopters, even though Miss Marple was very pretty and outgoing.
Pasadena Humane’s Foster Team placed Miss Marple into a cat-savvy foster home to see how she would navigate in a home with her complicated medical issues.
Six weeks later, Miss Marple’s Best Day Ever happened when her foster mom realized that she was a perfect addition to her family.
Her adopter tells us “I love her spirit – no one told her she can’t do things, and so she goes and figures out how to get where she wants to go. No embarrassment. When she misses a jump, she picks herself up and trots off the next adventure.”
