Meet Azuki

My husband and I adopted Azuki (formerly “Azul”) from Pasadena Humane in October 2020, and, for us, she has been the best thing that came out of the pandemic! Since her arrival, she has given us reasons to unplug and go on long walks through neighborhoods that we had never explored before; her antics make us and passers-by smile and laugh everyday; and when we’re feeling down, she kisses us until we forget momentarily why we weren’t happy to begin with. When we adopted her, she exhibited signs of separation anxiety but has since become more independent, thanks to the consultation services available through Pasadena Humane, help from our friends, and some patience. It takes a village to raise a child, and Azuki is our child whom we can’t imagine life without!
