EXCLUSION

What is Humane Exclusion?
The process of preventing animals from gaining access to something.

Exclusion often describes physical barriers that prevent animals from accessing resources such as food, water, and shelter. For example, exclusion is the prevention of animals going under or over a fence, accessing a garden or patio area, or a vegetable garden or individual tree.

Exclusion is often the most sustainable, long-term, effective solution to wildlife conflicts.

We specialize in, but are not limited to:

  • Opossums, raccoons, skunks, bears, coyotes
  • Residences and businesses
  • Site inspections with detailed evaluations and advice
  • Custom exclusion installation or referrals

Please note: We do not trap and relocate wildlife. Trapping and relocating wildlife in the state of California is illegal as well as inhumane. Companies who offer trapping services are legally required to euthanize the animal.

CAMERA MONITORING

Using cameras, we are able to see the activity at your home with our own eyes. It allows us to determine exactly what kind of animal is on your property and if babies may be present. With this tool, we are able to determine when it is appropriate to seal up any entry points by seeing when the animals have vacated.

SCENT DETERRENTS

Scent deterrents are effectively used to humanely evict wildlife. The product itself may be humanely collected scat or urine-saturated den straw from predators residing at partner wildlife organizations. We may also utilize other effective scents such as essential oils. The strong odors serve as a warning to animals and encouragement to leave the area. This is a temporary solution and permanent exclusion measures must also be used to keep the animals from returning.

CLEAN-UP

We also offer safe and effective clean-up of animal droppings and dead animal remains.
