Waggin’ @ Fiesta Days Parade and Festival @ La Cañada Memorial Park

The Waggin’ will be in the parade beginning at 10 from Foothill between Verdugo and Gold before setting up at the festival at Memorial Park at 11:30.


If you spot a green and white 35’ RV driving to a community event, you have discovered our Wiggle Waggle Wagon (The Waggin’). It extends the boundaries and hours of our organization by visiting events and places in the Los Angeles area. Our “shelter on wheels” is known for bringing a selection of adoptable dogs and cats, as well as current information on our spay/neuter services, area wildlife and PHS programs and services.

PHS is excited to attend the Pasadena District 7 Summer Kickoff Meeting. Bring the kids and a picnic blanket and get ready for some summer community fun! Stop by to hear Pasadena Humane Society President/CEO Julie Bank will speak on coexisting with coyotes and to hear more about our programs and services in the community, find out how to get involved and snag free animal-related giveaways!

Parking is available on Wilson or across the street in the public parking lot which is free after 5:00 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.

We accept payment by cash, credit card or check with valid identification. Vaccinations and microchip implants are open to residents of any city. Pet licensing services are only available to Arcadia, Altadena, Bradbury, Glendale, La Cañada Flintridge, La Crescenta-Montrose, Monrovia, Pasadena, San Marino, Sierra Madre, South Pasadena and Unincorporated Pasadena residents. Dogs must be on leash, and cats must be in carriers.

Intermediate Agility Classes Begin @ Pasadena Humane Society & SPCA’s Education & Training Center

Intermediate Agility Classes Begin @ Pasadena Humane Society & SPCA’s Education & Training Center | Pasadena | California | United States

Intermediate Agility focuses on technique and footwork. In this six-week class, you and your dog will be running more challenging courses, as the instructor helps you and your pup master the equipment and achieve faster run times.

When: Mondays, June 5th – July 10th: 7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Course Prerequisites: Previously completed Beginner Intermediate Agility or have prior instructor approval. Your dog cannot exhibit aggressiveness or excessive shyness towards people or other dogs and must be able to focus on handler and work off-leash around other dogs.

Registration: To register for an upcoming class, complete and return our most current registration form. This class requires prior phone consultation before attending. Please call (626) 792-7151 ext. 155 to speak with a member of our training department.

Note: Please bring your dog to the first class. The fee is $150 for general registration, $130 for dogs adopted from PHS and $85 for active PHS volunteers

Puppy Pre-School Session @ Pasadena Humane Society & SPCA's Education & Training Center

For puppies less than 4 months of age only. This class is designed for puppies under 4 months of age and allows owners to take advantage of their puppy’s critical socialization period. Puppies will learn how to respond to their name, get used to being handled and groomed and introduced to walking on leash. They will be introduced to everyday objects, obstacles and other stimulation that will equip them into the next stage of life. Puppies will also have the opportunity to socialize with other puppies in a safe and well managed environment. Owners will be given vital information on early prevention of problem behaviors such as mouthing, biting and house soiling.

Frequency & Duration: 1 hour per week for 5 weeks

Class includes: Homework, Problem Solving Handouts, and Certificate of Completion

Class capacity: 10 students

Course prerequisites: Dogs must be under 4 months of age on their first week of class and have had their first round of vaccinations 7 days prior to the start of class.You must provide proof of vaccination prior to the first day of class.
