Puppy Pre-School Session @ Pasadena Humane Society & SPCA's Education & Training Center

For puppies less than 4 months of age only. This class is designed for puppies under 4 months of age and allows owners to take advantage of their puppy’s critical socialization period. Puppies will learn how to respond to their name, get used to being handled and groomed and introduced to walking on leash. They will be introduced to everyday objects, obstacles and other stimulation that will equip them into the next stage of life. Puppies will also have the opportunity to socialize with other puppies in a safe and well managed environment. Owners will be given vital information on early prevention of problem behaviors such as mouthing, biting and house soiling.

Frequency & Duration: 1 hour per week for 5 weeks

Class includes: Homework, Problem Solving Handouts, and Certificate of Completion

Class capacity: 10 students

Course prerequisites: Dogs must be under 4 months of age on their first week of class and have had their first round of vaccinations 7 days prior to the start of class.You must provide proof of vaccination prior to the first day of class.

Puppy Kindergarten @ Pasadena Humane Society & SPCA's Behavior & Training Center

Puppy Kindergarten covers obedience essentials such as sit, down, stay, come and loose leash walking. We will also problem solve typical puppy problem behaviors such as puppy mouthing, chewing, jumping up, and house soiling.

Cost: $150 for a six-week course

Course prerequisites: Dogs must be between the ages of 4 to 6 months and must be able to be handled by a friendly stranger and able to work safely around people and other dogs on leash. Puppies must have their first full round of vaccinations. You must provide proof of vaccinations prior to the first day of class.

Puppy Social Session @ Pasadena Humane Society & SPCA's Behavior & Training Center
Jan 25 @ 9:30 am – 10:15 am

A drop in social hour for puppies between the ages of 2-6 months. This is the perfect opportunity to get your puppy socialized with other puppies in a safe and structured environment. Play interactions are managed and supervised by our trainers to ensure all puppies leave with a new positive experience.

Please arrive early to sign in. Doors open at 9:20 a.m.

Frequency & Duration: 1 hour per session; limited sessions are offered during the year

Class includes: Off leash supervised play and socialization with other puppies.

Fees: $10.00. Payment is by cash only and please, no bills over $20.

Class capacity: No Limit

Our “shelter on wheels” is known for bringing a selection of adoptable dogs and cats, as well as current information on our spay/neuter services, area wildlife and PHS programs and services.

Click-a-Trick @ Pasadena Humane Society & SPCA's Behavior & Training Center

Learn fun, show-worthy tricks with your pup that you will want to show off to all of your friends! In this 6 week course you will be learning how to teach your dog fun tricks such as rollover, fetch, dance, and more using positive reinforcement training! This class will meet once a week at 7:00-8:00pm for six weeks starting on Monday, January 6th, 2020.

Cost: $150 for a six-week course

Course prerequisites: Dogs must be able to be handled by a friendly stranger and must be able to work safely around people and other dogs on leash. Dogs must be up to date on all vaccinations and owner must provide proof of vaccines by email or on the first day of class. Dogs must be over 6 months of age. Dogs must not bark at other dogs when on leash.
