Jr. Vets Club (Ages 7 to 10)

Tuesdays from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Jr. Vets Club is ideal for young animal enthusiasts who are eager to learn exciting themes such as animal behavior, veterinary care, and wildlife conservation through fun games, creative projects, and hands-on experiences.
Participants might create enrichment toys for animals, learn how to interpret animal body language, or explore what it takes to become a veterinarian, trainer, or wildlife rehabilitator.
Please note: While we aim to include animal interactions in every class, activities may vary based on the animal population and the needs of the shelter at that time.
Spaces are limited to 14 participants per session.

Jr. Volunteers (Ages 11 to 14)

Wednesdays from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
The Jr. Volunteers program is designed for youth ages 11-14 who want to make a difference while earning community service hours! This hands-on program empowers participants to support the shelter through meaningful service projects. Each week, they will take part in hands-on projects, such as crafting enrichment toys, enrichment treats, building critter mazes, and preparing supplies for animals and staff.
Participants will learn how a shelter operates, explore animal-related careers, and track the impact of their work. From teamwork to responsibility, this program helps develop valuable real-world skills while giving back to animals in need.
Please note: While we strive to provide animal interaction in every class, activities may change based on the animals available and the shelter needs at that time.

Scout Programs (Ages 5 to 17)
$380 per session (up to 20 scouts and 2 adult chaperones)

Join us for a 75-minute, hands-on adventure designed exclusively for scout troops. Scouts will earn a Pasadena Humane patch while participating in engaging educational activities, meaningful service projects, and animal-themed learning experiences.
Each session accommodates up to 20 scouts and 2 adult chaperones and provides a unique opportunity to explore how Pasadena Humane cares for animals while inspiring young leaders to make a difference in their community.
The Pasadena Humane Experience
Perfect for all ages and troop levels. Scouts will enjoy a guided shelter tour and take part in a service project that supports our animals, based on current shelter needs.
Tailored Scout Program
For troops pursuing badge or award requirements, this option aligns with specific patch goals to provide a focused, age-appropriate educational experience.
Party Animals Birthday Parties
Party Animals! VIP Birthday Experience (ages 5 and up)
$150
During your one-hour private VIP experience, you will learn about Pasadena Humane’s mission and vision of providing opportunities for animals to find homes. The children will visit the dog kennels, the Neely Cat Center, and the Critter House. At the end, the birthday child will get to name one of our shelter animals! This experience is suitable for up to three children and one adult chaperone.

Party Animals! Birthday Party for Kids (ages 7 and up)
$500
During this two-hour party, children will learn about Pasadena Humane’s mission and vision of providing opportunities for animals to find homes. They’ll make purposeful animal enrichment toys and enjoy a behind-the-scenes shelter tour. The celebration will end with a birthday celebration in the Pasadena Humane classroom. Our Party Animals birthday experience is suitable for up to 20 people (children and adults).
Parties are available on Sundays at 1:00 pm upon request. Please note, parties are not available from May 25 to August 31 due to summer camp.
