An online analysis of the name “Zoey” conjures up someone who is friendly and affectionate. Pasadena Humane’s Zoey came in because while she was friendly and affectionate to her human mom, the friendliness did not expand to other members of the family. But, then again, they had owned her for only a couple of weeks. They report that Zoey is house-trained and crate trained. She also loves car rides and going places. But, Zoey isn’t hot with other dogs or pets. We know German Shepherd Dogs are quite intelligent and her former owner reported that Zoey knows how to turn on water faucets! This is clearly a self-watering dog . . . but turning off the faucet is yet to be determined. Volunteers report that she is easy to leash and walks calmly. She also knows her command/cues of “sit, down, and stay” and is a very focused dog. Volunteers also report she quickly gets to know staff and wants to walk over to greet them and also that she enjoys playing fetch. Looking at Zoey’s picture one can see a very alert and ready-to-play dog! She appears to be calm but ready for action! Zoey could do well in an active household but probably best as the only dog. Give Zoey a new chance today to show her friendliness and affectionate nature!
