Walter came to Pasadena Humane as a stray. He is a very handsome dog but also a nervous dog. We don’t know what his past life was like, but it seems to have left him nervous around new people and new settings. The good samaritan who found him and brought him in mentioned that he was shy but also very friendly. The great American Poet, Walt Whitman, once wrote: “I exist as I am, that is enough.” That says it all for our Walter, he is who he is and that is enough. Still, our Behavior Staff had been working with him and was slowly gaining his trust. So, we knew there was a good dog inside! Walter then was sent to live with a foster mom and her dog. So, he has been living with a foster for a while now. While still sensitive to noise, he loves attention and will follow his foster mom around. Walter has gotten along with the house dog as well. The foster mom reports that he has become energetic and playful most recently. Looking at Walter’s picture, you can see a lot in his eyes. Walt Whitman also wrote: ““What is that you express in your eyes? It seems to me more than all the print I have read in my life.” Walter needs someone special in his life to bring out the best in him and provide him with love and security. Are YOU that someone special that he needs in his life?
