Tux came to Pasadena humane after being left in an empty apartment. While neighbors tried to help out by taking him in, the resident dogs were too much for Tux and he was brought to us. Tux has remained extremely shy and tends to like to hide out in safe locations, behind a box, inside a blanket, and so on. He was housed for a while in the staff office and Tux very slowly began to make appearances. This has led him to be placed in a quiet but loving foster home. After some initial shyness again, Tux is making progress in coming out of his shell. He is a senior cat at age 7 and if a senior adopter aged 60 or more adopts Tux, the adoption is totally free as a part of our Senior for Seniors Program. Watch this space for updates about Tux! If you have a quiet home and are a patient owner who is willing to wait for a shy cat to become finally affectionate . . . then your home might be perfect for this cute guy!
