About this pet
Kangal | 3 Years | Male
Teddy is a large dog that was found lost in the streets. A good Samaritan brought Kane and no owner has stepped forward. Teddy is said to be a Kangal . . . also known as a Kangal Shepherd Dog or also a Turkish Kangal Dog. In general, a Kangal is a guardian dog for flocks of animals and has the size and weight to protect animals against large predators. In that we doubt most local citizens have large flocks to protect, a Kangal can also be a friendly family dog. They are said to be friendly with families and their visitors. As well, they can also get along well with children. Our Teddy has been an easy-going dog and has interacted well with members of our staff. Teddy is in fact, a big teddy bear! He loves petting and will lean his head in for more petting. Staff also mentions that he loves squeaky toys! Kangals are said to be “built tough” and can live long lives to around 15 years. If you’re lookiing for a big buddy, Teddy may be just right for you!
