Solange is a singer-song writer whose latest album is entitled “When I Get Home.” Pasadena Humane’s Solange was found suffering under a freeway overpass and came to us in awful shape. This three-year-old German Shepherd’s body was covered with abrasions and our vets feared that she had been hit by a car.
Working quickly to stabilize her, our team found that the poor girl had blood in her abdomen and a painful fracture to her back leg. Now, she was in need of immediate surgery to mend her terrible injuries.
Solange has been recovering well and is a sweet and friendly dog. Interestingly, she is distrustful of men but does well with women and children. She is an affectionate dog and is intelligent as well. Solange’s foster mom reports that she is walking around and loves to be outside. She still limps a bit on one leg, but each day is better than the last. She was even able to jump up on a sofa to snooze.
What could be going through this sweet dog’s mind? Solange is probably thinking “When I Get Home, I will be the happiest dog in the world.” Please help this wonderful girl get home!
