Wallflowers (Basic Manners For Shy Dogs)

Wallflowers is a six-week specialty course geared specifically toward dogs that are shy and fearful with new people. Each week students will work with their dogs to build confidence and gain new skills. Discussions include ways to manage and train a shy dog, as well as how to respond when your dog becomes afraid. Class size is limited to six dogs to ensure a calm environment and to provide enough individual time with the instructor.

Frequency & Duration: 1 hour per week for 6 weeks

Fees: $150 for general registration; $110 for dogs adopted from PHS; $85 for active PHS volunteers**

Course prerequisites: This class is intended for dogs that are shy and fearful around people, other dogs and/or in new environments. Dogs must not show aggression toward people or other dogs.

**You must give 7 days prior notice for cancellation with full refund; 72 hours notice – prior to class starting date – is required for a transfer to the next round of class, after which time no refunds or transfers will be issued. Only one transfer issued per student.
