Basic Obedience

Basic Obedience is an introductory-level course designed to improve communication between you and your dog. This five-week course covers the essentials, including sit, down, stay, come and loose-leash walking. We will also problem solve behaviors such as jumping up, barking, chewing and destruction.

Frequency & Duration: 1 hour per week for 6 weeks.

Fees: $150 for general registration; $110 for dogs adopted from PHS; $85 for active PHS volunteers**

Course prerequisites: Dogs must be able to be handled by a friendly stranger and must be able to work safely around people and other dogs on leash.Dogs must not bark at other dogs when on leash.

** You must give 7 days prior notice for cancellation with full refund; 72 hours notice – prior to class starting date – is required for a transfer to the next round of class, after which time no refunds or transfers will be issued. Only one transfer issued per student.
