Dog Boarding

As of May 29, Pasadena Humane will no longer be offering public dog boarding services:

Pasadena Humane has always been known for the exceptional care and shelter we provide for animals in our community. Making sure lost or abandoned animals are well cared for, comfortable, and given ample shelter is at the core of our mission. One barrier we have always had in providing the highest level of enrichment for shelter animals is the amount of space we have on our campus. We only have one play yard where shelter animals have the opportunity to run and play. In order to make a boarded pet’s visit a comfortable and happy experience, the play yard is often used most of the day for boarded pets, limiting the opportunities for shelter animals to stretch their legs, exhibit normal behaviors, and play. In addition, we are now utilizing our kennel space differently throughout the shelter to give shelter animals more room – which has created a need to use our boarding kennels for shelter animals. For these reasons, we have decided to permanently discontinue public boarding services effective immediately.
