Rey, and his sister Miley, came to Pasadena Humane since their owner was no longer able to care for them. Initially shy and a bit confused at losing their home, both dogs seem friendly and overall mellow. In Spanish, “rey” means “King,” and while Pasadena Humane’s Rey probably isn’t a real king, he still enjoys being treated like royalty. Our Behavior Staff is still learning more about Rey since he has just arrived. His former owner says that Rey was good around Miley, and both of them tended to ignore passing dogs. He also reported that both dogs were friendly with people. Rey loves treats and was also easy to leash. A volunteer reported that he walked well on leash, enjoyed petting, and might be house-trained. Another volunteer reported that he is a sweetheart. Both dogs are considered senior dogs in our Senior for Seniors Program. This means if an adopter is sixty years old or more, then the adoption is totally free! Looking for some royalty for your home? Maybe Rey is the right one for you!
