Ronin is a beautiful Alpha Siberian Husky. True to his breed, he loves going for hikes and walks. He will pull you like a strong work dog as if he were pulling a sled. He thrives in the snow and his double layered coat keeps him rather dry in the rain. He doesn’t like hot weather at all and suffers if left too long in the heat. He sheds heavy, very heavy and right now he’s in seasonal shed mode. Absolutely loves the mountains, desert in winter, camping, trail blazing, Frisbee, tug-o-war, racing. He grew up with an older Toy Chihuahua who became his loud scolding God Mother but they got along very well and a senior American Staffordshire Pit Terrier who was like an older brother. Ronin likes to think he’s in charge and will not do anything he doesn’t want to so you need to be rather dominating in a kind way and he will listen. He is house/car trained. Keep him away from cats, raccoons, rabbits. We have field mice running around outside and likes to sniff them out. He has a keen sense of smell, sight and hearing. He’s too friendly to be an aggressive guard dog but he will make enough noise to alert you.
