I was walking down Figueroa in Highland Park and saw a sealed box in a trash can on the sidewalk. The box was moving and I heard the distinct sound of a cat crying. I took the box out of the trash and opened it and inside was this beautiful cat. Someone threw her away in the GARBAGE. Sometimes humanity breaks my heart. I brought her home and have been fostering her for six weeks so I could get her checked out by the vet and so I could get to know her. Now it is time to find her forever home!
We call her Chatty Cathy because she’s very talkative. Cathy has been to the vet and is in perfect health – all blood, urine and fecal tests show a healthy cat. She is a senior cat – approximately 9 years old. She is the most lovely little girl. Sweet and so affectionate. Lap sitter and cuddler. She is bold and intrepid and explores everything. She is NOT a fraidy cat ,or a hide-in-the-back-of-the closet cat. She’s front and center. Cathy is what I’d call a “personal cat” – she wants to be devoted to someone. She is so loving it’s amazing, especially after the trauma she suffered.
I adore this cat but cannot keep her. She does not like other pets – I have three cats and have tried the slow introduction – but she WANTS to be in a one-pet family where she is the treasured pet. She will not share the spotlight!
Therefore, I am looking for a one-pet family. Since Cathy is 9, the person/people who adopt her must have experience with senior cats.
This was a horrible trauma for anyone to suffer – let’s be better people and save Chatty Cathy together.
