Ava

Category: Home to Home

About this pet

Ava is just about 2. She is a good cat that enjoys sitting in a window and observing birds and things. She loves to sleep in the bed with us. Ava needs to be the only cat in the household, it’s best that way for her. She is a bit timid around other cats. She would do well in a quiet home with very few people – one person would be best. She is sensitive! She loves to play, she can jump super high in the air, she loves hiding in tunnels, she can fetch mice and toys. She likes to cuddle. She does not like to be touched on the stomach for extended periods of time and she’ll tolerate being held but she prefers to be 4 paws on the ground. She can get overly excited and will put her teeth on a hand, but never really bite down. She’s beautiful and complicated, but very fun and sweet.

When Penny arrived at Pasadena Humane, we knew ins When Penny arrived at Pasadena Humane, we knew instantly that something was wrong. This sweet lab mix was found running through the streets, holding her hind leg in the air.

We soon found that the joint of her hind leg had been dislocated from her pelvis. The poor girl was in an incredible amount of pain every time she attempted to walk or run.

Penny's injury is severe, and she is in desperate need of a hip replacement to help her live a pain-free life. She is counting on friends like you for support.

Your gift of any amount today will go straight to Penny's care, helping us to fund the surgery that she needs.
