DESCRIPTION:$215 per four-week session \nEmbark on a compassionate journey with Jr. Volunteers at Pasadena Humane! Designed for ages 12-14\, this four-week program on Wednesdays from 3:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m. immerses young animal enthusiasts in the realms of animal husbandry and enrichment with service activities like making essential heating pads for neonatal kittens\, assembling care packages for different teams and creating pupsicles for shelter dogs. Jr. Volunteers will practice the values of responsibility\, empathy\, teamwork\, and service. Jr. Volunteers will receive service hours for each class they attend. \nWith a registration fee of $215\, extend a helping hand to paws in need and join us in fostering a community of caring hearts! \n*While we cannot guarantee an animal experience in every session\, we strive to introduce children to safe and suitable encounters with our furry companions when possible. \nAll scholarships for 2024 have been awarded. Please check back later for 2025 scholarships.

SUMMARY:Large Dog Reactive Rovers
DESCRIPTION:Is your dog making a scene when they see other dogs on leash\, moving vehicles\, or wildlife? Has all the barking\, lunging\, and growling become just too much for you to handle? In this 5-week course\, our trainers will help you to build essential training and coping skills for your dog. Our classroom setup is designed to reduce visual contact and is limited to only 6 students. Appropriate for dogs 30 lbs. and over. We recommend that dogs with reactivity at distances of 20ft. or more seek private help from a certified professional dog consultant prior to attending this class. \n\nLimit 6 dogs \nFor dogs 30 lbs. and over\nDogs must have at least one adult pet parent present\nDogs must be up to date on vaccinations & flea medications\nDogs must be wearing a harness\, collar\, and on a 6-8 ft. leash\nPlease bring your dog’s favorite soft\, easy-to-chew treats\n$280 per 5-week session \nThis class is not appropriate for dogs with a bite history\nThis class is not suitable for dogs who are reactive to people.\n\nThis class meets: \nWednesdays\, October 23-November 20\, 5:30-6:15 p.m.

Students who audit may take notes and observe other dog handler teams in our Large Dog Reactive Rovers course. You will have the same access to instructional homework assignments to work with your dog in the comfort of your home. “Ask-a-trainer” email access is also included.
