Your child will be part of an extraordinary journey of discovery and compassion. Dive into engaging topics such as veterinary health\, wildlife conservation\, and the thrilling world of animal careers. But it’s not just about learning; it’s hands-on action! Your child will actively participate in meaningful service projects\, fostering a deep connection with our furry and feathered friends. \nJoin us every Tuesday from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.\, providing your child with the chance to unleash their creativity while making a positive impact on the world of animals. \n*While we cannot guarantee an animal experience in every session\, we strive to introduce children to safe and suitable encounters with our furry companions when possible. \nAll scholarships for 2024 have been awarded. Please check back later for 2025 scholarships.

DESCRIPTION:Calling all puppies 16 weeks and under. Grab your guardian and join us for Puppy Manners! During this 5-week course\, our certified trainers will continue to guide you through puppyhood and help you avoid common mistakes such as chewing dad’s favorite slippers\, pulling on leash\, jumping up\, and more. They will teach your human to use positive reinforcement techniques (treats & praise!) to help you learn valuable life skills and you’re going to have such fun learning with us!‌ \n\nPuppies must be 16 weeks or younger at first class meeting\nLimit 10 pups per class\nMust have one adult pet parent present\nPuppies must be wearing a collar or harness and leash\nPlease bring at least 2 cups of very small\, soft treats\n$250 per 5-week session\nYour puppy must be free from signs of illness (coughing\, nasal discharge\, vomiting\, diarrhea) to attend classes.\nIf your puppy is exhibiting signs of illness including coughing\, you will be asked to exit the class\nYour puppy must be current on vaccines appropriate for their age including Bordetella\, Canine Distemper and Parainfluenza (DAPP)\nWe highly recommend your puppy receive the Canine Influenza Vaccine. Please check with your personal veterinarian for guidance.\n\nTuesdays\, September 10-October 8\, 5:30-6:15 p.m.

DESCRIPTION:Don’t say “basic” like it’s a bad thing! Your dog could be basically awesome after taking Basics 101 at Pasadena Humane! This 5-week class covers level 1 core skills for adult dogs. Our certified trainers will teach you how to motivate and communicate with your dog in a fun\, positive way. You’ll learn requests like lie down\, follow me\, go to place\, and the foundations of important life skills like loose leashing walking. Dogs in Basics 101 should be comfortable enough to stand calmly and take treats within 10 feet of other dogs.   \n\nLimit 9 dogs  \nDogs must have one adult pet parent present \nDogs must be up to date on vaccinations \nDogs must be wearing a collar or harness and leash \nPlease bring least two cups of your pup’s favorite treats  \n$250 per 5-week session \nYour dog must be free from signs of illness (coughing\, nasal discharge\, vomiting\, diarrhea)\nYour dog must not have visited a boarding facility\, dog park or doggie daycare in the past 14 days preceding class start date\nYour dog must be up to date on vaccines for Canine Influenza\, Bordetella\, Canine Distemper and Parainfluenza\n\nTuesdays\, September 10-October 8\, 7-7:45 p.m.
