SUMMARY:Birding and Naturalist Led Walking Meditation
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a nature walk! Led by Pasadena Humane wildlife staff (Certified California Naturalists)\, participants are invited to walk the JPL/Devil’s Gate Dam loop while learning to identify native plants and local birds. Embrace a slow and mindful pace to practice following your breath and being present in your body as you connect with the other living things on the trail. \nWe encourage the sharing of knowledge with people of all experience levels. We also encourage using community science tools such as ebird\, Merlin Bird ID\, and iNaturalist apps and will assist those who would like to utilize them on their phones. Bring your own scopes/binoculars/cameras. We will also provide limited field guidebooks. \nThis walk is suitable for all ages. Please note that the walk is approximately three miles long with minor elevation changes\, uneven and unpaved ground\, and some stairs. \nLook for a large Pasadena Humane van. Carpooling\, biking or public transport is encouraged.

Our puppy coaches are standing by to help guide you through potty training\, mouthing & biting\, and handling exercises. But wait\, there’s more! Did you know that early positive reinforcement training & socialization have a beneficial impact throughout your pet’s life? Your little one (ages 8 weeks to 11 weeks) can explore safely in our sanitized\, puppy-friendly indoor training room. Act now! Puppies must be under 12 weeks of age on the first day of this 3-week course. You will receive expert advice from skilled puppy trainers\, a low-stress introduction to your puppy’s future Playschool & Manners classrooms\, and gentle exposure during a key socialization period. All this for the low cost of $120! \n\nLimit 8 puppies per session\nPuppies should be between 7.5-11 weeks on first day of class\n3 week course is $120\nMust have one adult (18+) pet parent present\nYour puppy must be free from signs of illness (coughing\, nasal discharge\, lethargy\, vomiting\, diarrhea) to enter classroom.\nIf your puppy is exhibiting signs of illness including coughing\, you will be asked to exit the class\nYour puppy must have at least one round of vaccines on board including Bordetella\, Canine Distemper and Parainfluenza (DAPP)\nWe recommend your puppy receive the Canine Influenza Vaccine when age appropriate.
