DESCRIPTION:Puppy guardians! Looking for a safe and fun venue to socialize your new best friend? Join the training staff and fellow new puppy parents at Pasadena Humane’s Puppy Playschool. This ongoing workshop welcomes vaccinated puppies who are over 8 weeks or under 16 weeks of age. Your puppy will be gently exposed to novel sights & sounds and our small sized playgroups are thoughtfully designed to help build your puppy’s confidence gradually. Skilled trainers and volunteers educated in dog body language will be on hand to guide you and your pup to learn about healthy play & positive training building blocks.   \n\nLimit 15 pups per session \nMust have one adult pet parent present\nPuppies must be up to date on vaccines appropriate for their age \nPuppies must be wearing a collar and leash  \n$25 per session \nYour puppy must be free from signs of illness (coughing\, nasal discharge\, vomiting\, diarrhea) to attend classes.\nIf your puppy is exhibiting signs of illness including coughing\, you will be asked to exit the class\nYour puppy must be current on vaccines appropriate for their age including Bordetella\, Canine Distemper and Parainfluenza (DAPP)\nWe highly recommend your puppy receive the Canine Influenza Vaccine. Please check with your personal veterinarian for guidance.

DESCRIPTION:Put on your best Jedi robes\, hop into your landspeeder\, and join us in a galaxy far\, far away (Pasadena Humane) on May the 4th to adopt an adult pet (six months or older) for just $4! Although we won’t have any banthas\, Loth-cats\, or porgs available for adoption\, we will have dogs\, cats\, and critters who are ready to go to your home planet with you. \nAdoptions include spay or neuter\, vaccines\, and a microchip. Adopt by appointment from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. or as a walk-in from 2 to 5 p.m. Residents of Altadena\, Arcadia\, Bradbury\, Glendale\, La Cañada\, La Crescenta\, Pasadena\, Monrovia\, San Marino\, Sierra Madre and South Pasadena will need to purchase a license for dogs at the time of adoption. Licensing fees vary by city. Bradbury also requires a pet license for cats.

DESCRIPTION:Teenagers\, am I right?! Adolescence (5-11 months) can be a frustrating time for both pups and their people. This is also a critical time to keep guiding your young dog to make good choices. In these repeatable 45-minute workshops\, we’ll continue building on the training skills that you started in Puppy Manners\, but don’t worry if you’re just getting started – jump right in and learn with us! A revolving set of topics will include: leash handling\, confidence building training games\, staying calm for greetings\, and more. Sign up for each one-day workshop individually.  \n\nDogs must be between 5-11 months of age at start of class date \nDogs must have one adult pet parent present\nDogs must be up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines\n$40 per 45-minute workshop
