Mr. Love was turned in by his owner after a landlord decided on a no-pets-policy. The former owner reported that in spite of Mr. Love’s affectionate name, he hasn’t been handled much and his social skills are somewhat limited. Guinea Pigs really don’t need a whole lot of care, just some of the basics such as fresh water and food each day. Handling them early helps them to enjoy human contact. Guinea Pigs have a good life span and most interestingly, will purr contently and communicate through a variety of sounds and squeaks all of which can mean some specific thing. Guinea Pigs can make for a good pet even if space is at a premium.
