“Ketzel, The Cat Who Composed” is a children’s book based on a story about a kitten that composes a work of music. Pasadena Humane’s Ketzel probably hasn’t composed any music, unless of course, she’s walked across some piano keys. Ketzel started out at Pasadena Humane as a very shy kitty and untrusting of everyone. Through a lot of patient work with our volunteers she is finally beginning to show some affectionate behavior. With the use of treats and slow patient movements, Ketzel is reported to have relaxed enough to head-butt and kneading her paws in her blanket. She circles in for extra petting and attention. Ketzel would probably do best in a quiet home as the only cat and with an owner willing to give her time to let her full loving personality come out. And if you have a piano at home, who knows, you might also get a composer!
