About this pet
Domestic Shorthair | 5 Years | Female
Ivy is known to be a resilient plant used often as ground cover. Pasadena Humane’s Ivy is resilient in her own way. Her elderly owner had passed away and Ivy came to Pasadena Humane. She herself was in bad shape with a severe medical condition that rendered her right rear leg useless. To restore Ivy’s health, her leg had to be amputated. But that hasn’t slowed Ivy down. Her resiliency has shown itself as she has steadliy improved in health since the surgery. Our shelter doctors worked to make sure this wonderful cat has a new leash on life! There are many so-called tri-pod dogs and cats who simply don’t let the loss of one leg affect them. In their minds they still have three good legs to use and they get around without any problems. As Ivy continues to improve, we will see her do the same. Ivy is five years old and qualifies for our Seniors for Seniors Program. This means that if any adopter is sixty years old or more, then the adoption is totally free! Give this special kitty a new fur-ever home with you today!
