German Shepherd Dog and Siberian Husky | 2 Years | Female

iris came to Pasadena Humane after she was found wandering a neighborhood. Iris is a white German Shepherd mix which means that under normal cirumstances, she would be very energetic. Instead, she is confused as to where she is and is afraid to trust anyone. One of our staff reports that she hides if someone comes into her kennel and won’t respond to treats or kind words. This is a sad situation and makes one wish they could explain to her that she is safe. In these types of situations, a staff/volunteer effort is made to help her relax and learn to trust. We hope to see an affectionate and trusting side to her to “blossom” soon! Certainly any adopter would need understanding and patience as Iris adjusts to another new enviornment. As we learn more about Iris, this writing will be updated.
